Real World Math

For students to explore and develop academic writing skills.

Each student will work with me to pick a topic and scope that feels comfortable. I will help students make a plan for using their time, and students will decide what they share with the group, and what feedback they want to get.

Open to any student who has some ability to work independently, and can put words on a page by typing, talk-to-text, or dictating to a willing helper at home. Students may also want to create an oral or audio-visual presentation.

For students to develop foundational skills.

I will have math concepts ready to bring to the group, but will mostly develop curriculum based on which skills students most want to learn. Examples include - money math, calculating time, basic geometry, etc.

Intended for reluctant math learners who want to focus on basic skills, or academically inclined students who want more practice with math fundamentals.

Please note, these classes are for building skills and confidence, and are not intended to follow or deliver specific grade-level curriculum
